A week ago Pody was in surgery for navel hernia and 5th claws. Pody had navel hernia already at his birth, but since it was more cosmetic and did not endanger his health, I never decided for surgery. Recently Pody had many problems with 5th claws. They frequently almost broke and hindered Pody’s normal walking or running. Therefore, I decided for surgery.

Pody has undergone surgery without complications, but narcosis lasted for the rest of the afternoon, when Pody mainly slept. Only in the evening Pody made a few steps. The first day was quite hard for Pody, since he did not want to step on his first paws, therefore the problem was toilet. However, Pody spent the night without going to the toilet. In the morning I carried him outside, where he finally tried to walk and done all the necessary needs. The next day Pody was significantly better and after three days he already wanted to run.

Today, after a week, the biggest Pody’s problem is protective collar and that he cannot sleep with me in my bed, since his wounds are not yet fully healed. We can expect Pody’s fully recover in about a week, so keep fists and paws for him!
